Insulation materials silica insulation bricks are insulating silicone refractory products, with SiO2 content exceeding 90% and bulk density lower than 1.2g/cm3. The mineral composition of the silica thermal refractory brick is 78% to 86% phosphorite, 13% to 15% cristobalite and 4% to 7% quartz.

Features of silica insulation brick

Light weight silica insulation brick refers to the light refractory material with the silica content of more than 91% and the bulk density of less than 1.2g/cm3. The fire resistance rating and softening temperature of load-bearing silica brick are similar to those of ordinary silica bricks with the same composition. However, as there are many pores, the compression resistance, slag resistance and corrosion resistance are not as good as ordinary silicon bricks, and the thermal shock resistance is improved.
