Good Wear Resistance Magnesia Carbon Refractory Bricks

Product description of magnesia carbon brick

Magnesia carbon brick is a new type of refractory rising in the 1970s. It is a incombustible refractory made of high temperature sintered magnesia or fused magnesia and carbon materials with various carbon binders. Magnesia carbon brick not only maintains the advantages of carbon refractory, but also completely changes the inherent shortcomings of the previous alkaline refractory, such as poor spalling resistance and slag absorption.

Characteristics of magnesia carbon bricks

Magnesite carbon brick has high melting resistance because its constituent materials are magnesium oxide and carbon, both of which have high melting points and the two components are insoluble.
Magnesia carbon brick is a composite structure, the main part of which uses magnesia clinker with strong alkali resistance and slag carbon with poor wettability, so it has excellent slag corrosion resistance. In particular, its slag penetration resistance is much shallower than the old fired alkaline bricks.
